Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (thawed if frozen, patted dry)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic cloves, minced
- 1 whole lemon (zested and juiced)
- 0.75 tsp kosher salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for serving)
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and place them in a bowl.
- Add the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes, if using. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated.
- Let the shrimp sit for 5 to 10 minutes while you preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if needed so the basket is not crowded.
- Air fry for 4 minutes, then shake the basket or turn the shrimp over. Cook for 1 to 3 minutes more, until the shrimp are opaque and firm and reach 145°F at the thickest part.
- Transfer to a plate, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and add an extra squeeze of lemon before serving.
Tips
Please verify the final air fryer time against shrimp size and basket style; larger shrimp may need an extra minute, while small shrimp can cook faster.
